Lake Como - the best city break in June

I have a list with countries and cities I want to visit before the end of 2016, and Lake Como (together with few other lakes) has always been on that list, not only for this year, but for many years before.

And this day has arrived - Mr A has booked our tickets, our hotels and off we went. For a 4 day trip to Italy...again.

Spring 2016 Beauty Favourite Products, Which Follow Me Into the Summer

The spring has finally come to an end - last week's weather in UK made me think we skipped summer and jumped straight into the autumn. But from yesterday, the weather has got more and more gorgeous and I can smell the fresh cut grass in the evening.
Now, throughout the entire spring I have been using and accumulating some beauty favourites of mine and I would like to share those with you. They seem to work well for me and I will be definitely repurchasing them all when they run out.

I will go through each section of my body step by step below: what I use, when and what part of my body for.

Islands in May - Burano and Murano

May is one of the best months to visit the few islands. Just before it gets too hot and sticky and humid. All 3 islands are really just a boat ride away from the mainland. And it takes less than half an hour to reach Murano by boat. Not to mention, that the mainland is a place you can not miss at all and like majority of visitors to the islands, you would have come to visit the mainland initially.
We started our morning by having breakfast and later on lunch as well in Venice, in a lovely restaurant Ristorante Da Alvise, located on the Fondamena Nuove and facing the Northern lagoon. We were not sure about it at first, as the place was almost empty. But by the time we got our first meal coming it was almost full with both locals and the tourists...And when you read further, you will understand that we not only don't regret eating there, but will definitely come back to the same restaurant when we come here again.

A Day in the Life of Ghent - April, 2016

On one early Sunday morning, we woke up around 6am and decided we would go and spend a day in Belgium. Since my boyfriend says we visit Brugge more often than we visit London, we decided this time it will be Ghent.

We were greeted by the border patrol in the Channel Tunnel terminal.

Coconut Dreams Made of Muffins and Cherries

Thursday afternoon started with cooking. Of golden and delicious and healthy coconut berry muffins.

They are also gluten and dairy free. And one batch will make you 12 muffins. Enough to feed a relatively big group of visitors and you can whip them up in 40 minutes all together with the oven time.

Christmas 2015 in Brugge, Belgium

I know the Christmas time is now officially over, at least in the countries which celebrate the Catholic Christmas, so the usual, on the 25th of December. However Orthodox Christmas was on the 7th of January and the Orthodox New Year is today.
We decided to stop in Brugge on our way to the further part of Belgium. And after you read the below you will see why I don't regret the journey and the fact we had to leave in the middle of the night on Sunday for that.
Christmas Brugge welcomed us with the drizzling rain and grey clouds, which is the first time I see such weather for all my previous visits. We parked our car and went for a "walk", where we both quietly knew we are looking for a good place to eat.

Friday Evening with Byron

We both had a rather dragging week, especially weeks after Christmas break are always going slowly, until you are fully back into the saddle.
Seeing how I was, my boyfriend took me out to one of my favourite places, Byron Hamburger.
This is one of the few which are call a warm, satisfying cozy place.
Byron's Interior is very stylish and almost unique, with a note of industrial feel, for each restaurant we have been to so far.
Despite this restaurant chain being relatively new to the consumer market, the very first Byron was ever opened in 2007, on Kensington High Street, they are doing a rather good job.

Both myself and my boyfriend and vegetarians and a place which serves a good hamburger to a vegetarian is always high on my list.
